Statue of Liberty is a monumental sculpture that symbolizes freedom for the whole world. The name of this statue is actually a "Liberty Enlightening the World" or the Liberty which illuminates the world. The statue was in described as a woman who was freed themselves from the shackles of tyranny with the right hand holding a torch with the flame is lit, it symbolizes freedom. While her left hand holding a book with the inscription "July 4, 1776" (with Roman numerals), the American independence day. She wore a flowing robe and 7 shadow of a big spike on the crown symbolize the seven oceans and continents.

Statue of Liberty has a height 46 m (151 ft) b. If we count from the base, this statue has a height to 93 m (305 ft). Sculpture layer is made of wrought copper plate thickness of 2.4 mm (0.01 in) which in pairs on the iron frame. Iron framework made by the French engineer, Alexandre Gustave Eiffel, who also creator of the Eiffel tower in Paris.

The base of this statue use concrete and granite which is design by American architect Richard Morris Hunt. Star-shaped walls surrounding the 47 meters of base (154-ft). This wall is part of Fort Wood, the wall that was built early 19th century to defend the city of New York during the 1812 war (1812-1815).

History
originally, the statue of Liberty as a monument to remind the alliance has ever happened between France and America during the American Revolution (1775-1783). The statue was designed by French sculptor, Frédéric-Auguste Bartholdi and completed in July 1884. The French people donated the money to build this statue.
